30th Foursomes Week from 20th to 26th May, 2012
During the third week of May, each year, the Vale do Lobo Golf Club hosts the Foursomes week, a pairs competition, which promises a week of fun on the resort’s courses. The Algarve’s most popular golfing event returns in May for the 30th year - bigger and better than ever!
The Open Foursomes Week at Vale do Lobo Algarve will take place between 20th May – 26th May and habitually welcomes a flurry of entrants, all sharing the same common interest – a hunger for quality golfing moments in spectacular surroundings. Participants are certainly not disappointed, for this is this is a fixture that really seems to bring out the competitive spark in its players, in one of the finest golfing communities in the Algarve.
Over the six days of the tournament, numerous types of competition are played - Fourball Betterball Stableford, Fourball Team Stableford, American Foursomes Stableford, Rye Foursomes Stableford, Singles Stableford and, of course, the Foursomes Matchplay Finals for the coveted trophies. Prizes are also awarded for Nearest to the Pin and Longest Drive, making it a true test of each player’s ability.
Participants may wish to take advantage of the special tournament package, which includes accommodation in one of Vale do Lobo’s luxury properties, car rental, green fees and unlimited golf over the competition week, as well as entry to the spectacular prize-giving dinner.
