How many golf courses are there in the Algarve?
There are currently 31 eighteen-hole golf courses in operation in the Algarve.
What are the main golfing seasons in the Algarve?
There are 2 main seasons for playing golf in Portugal. The first is between mid February and May and the second is from mid September to November.
It is during these periods that courses in the Algarve are at their busiest, there isn’t any noticeable difference between weekends and weekdays as courses are mainly used by visiting foreign tourists.

Does Vale do Lobo provides free shuttles to courses?
We have a free shuttle service to and from Vilamoura area and Quinta do Lago.
Where can guests rent / buy golfing equipment?
Vale do Lobo has equipment rental services (clubs, buggies, trolleys).
We do not rent footwear or golf balls, but shoes and balls can be bought at the club golf shop Nevada Bob’s.

Does Vale do Lobo organizes golf tournaments / events for golfing guests?
Upon request, we are happy to organize tournaments / events for guests.
We also organize annual tournaments, such as Amateur Week in February or Foursomes Week in May, and will continue to do so in the future.

Does the course have special conditions for golf groups?
Yes, we do have special conditions for groups, such as 1 free green free out of 8 players.
Does Vale do Lobo offer memberships?
Yes, we do have memberships, for singles, couples or families.
Is it possible to walk on the Vale do Lobo golf courses?
It’s possible to walk on our courses, while playing golf, except before 10:30 or 9 holes on the Royal Course.
What is the required attire?
Soft spikes, socks and collared shirts are mandatory; no jeans, training or bathing clothes are allowed.
Do I need to have a handicap certificate?
Valid handicap certificates are necessary upon check in, we do also have handicap limits: Men 28 and Ladies 36.
