Ocean Golf Course
The Ocean course is composed of two of the original 9-hole golf courses designed by Sir Henry Cotton. It’s emblematic holes are two challenging and spectacular Par 4s, the 11th and the 14th – which treats golfers to some of the most spectacular views in the Algarve – and the Par 3 15th, which runs alongside the beach.
"This course is crammed with interesting and pretty holes and proved a worthy venue for the occasion. You get closer still to the beach as you descend the 14th then play another signature par 3 along the shore, before making your way home on a closing par 5 where you play steeply up to a green blessed with a permanent grandstand."
Royal Golf Course
Recognised as one of Portugal’s most prestigious golf courses, its features include the almost island green of the 9th and the famous 16th, with cliff-top carryover – one of the most photographed holes in Europe.

Foursomes Week
A popular pairs competition in one of the finest golf communities in the Algarve. Since 1983, the Vale do Lobo Golf Club hosts a week of fun for foursomes on the resort’s courses that attracts a flurry of keen entrants, all sharing a hunger for quality golfing moments in spectacular surroundings. All participants are invited to take advantage of our special tournament package. It includes accommodation in one of Vale do Lobo’s beautiful properties, green fees unlimited golf over the competition week, and entry to the spectacular prize-giving dinner.
Amateur Week
Held over the last week of January each year, the Amateur Week provides a true golfing extravaganza. It’s all about competitive fun, making new friends and enjoying outstanding play in the resort’s beautiful natural surroundings or the welcoming community of the clubhouse. Vale do Lobo offers a special package for this tournament, including accommodation, green fees and unlimited golf over the week as well as entry to the closing ceremony and dinner.
