Vale do Lobo Algarve is home to two challenging and outstanding golf courses – the Royal and the Ocean:
ROYAL GOLF COURSE
The Royal Golf Course features rolling fairways set between pine trees and beautiful lakes surrounded by wild flowers.
The Royal Golf Course is home to the the almost island green of the 9th and the famous 16th, with cliff-top carryover – one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world, which has become the veritable symbol of golf in the Algarve.
OCEAN GOLF COURSE
The Ocean Golf Course features undulating fairways which run alongside a nature reserve, before leading gently down to the shores of the Atlantic.
The most impressive fairways run directly down towards the beach with outstanding views and Atlantic breezes guaranteed to make a player’s round exhilarating.
Golf Academy & Practice Facilities
Practice, play, compete, excel!
The Vale do Lobo Golf Academy has two distinct areas:
- A netted area for the instruction of beginner golfers which is used as a warming up area for golfers.
- The second area is a short game practice grassed area with bunkers, which is used by golfers to warm up before the game and as an instruction area used by the Vale do Lobo Golf Professionals.
The Golf Academy also incorporates a challenging putting green next to the Clubhouse, the perfect place for warm up or simply to relax after a round.
Golf Professional
Coaching and tailor-made tuition from resident teaching professional.
Vale do Lobo Golf Professional, Steve Watkins, is a golf professional with more than 20 years of experience, available for golf lessons at Vale do Lobo.
Currently, the pro is conducting a junior academy on Saturdays, for children between the ages of 4 and 16. With an enthusiastic and innovative approach to golf tuition, he makes learning golf a fun time for everyone.
