Vale do Lobo Golf Club welcomes all golfers: members, guests and visitors.
To make sure every player has a great time with us, we ask that anyone enjoying our courses should read and follow our Club Rules.
1 | Golfers are expected to play within the spirit of the game and with consideration towards the safety and enjoyment of others – both on the golf courses, and in the surrounding areas. |
2 | All players must check in at the Golf Reception and obtain their green fee ticket as well as rental tickets, when applicable. No client will be allowed to enter the courses without presenting the respective green fee/rental ticket to the starter/caddy master. |
3 | All players are required to follow the regulations of the courses, with regard to etiquette and speed of play, which the Golf Reservations staff, Starters and Marshals are fully authorised to apply. Vale do Lobo Golf Club reserves the right to invite a player to leave the golf course, without any right to reimbursement, if the player does not follow the local rules or any instructions from a member of staff. |
4 | All players must present official handicap certificate. The maximum handicaps allowed at our courses are: Ladies: 36 | Gentlemen: 28. |
5 | Players are required to follow the regulations with regard to the dress code. It is essential that golfers wear golf shoes with soft spikes, as well as collared shirts and golf trousers or tailored shorts. |
6 | Players’ guests, may be authorised by the Golf Reception to follow the players on the course, when doing so, they must follow the same dress code as the player. Players’ guests are only allowed to join players on the 1st or 10th tee. |
7 | All players should refrain from using mobile phones while on the courses or in the Clubhouse area. |
8 | Flights are made up as 4-balls and therefore players booking less than a 4-ball must expect to be paired up with another group, whenever possible with players of similar handicap. |
9 | Men will play from the yellow tees and ladies from the red tees. Players with handicap of 9 or less may play from the white tees with permission of the Starter. |
10 | The Club reserves the right to restrict/ban use of buggies in accordance to weather conditions. Buggies must keep to the path (where applicable) and be driven well away from the greens, surrounds and teeing areas. A maximum of two people and 2 golf bags are allowed per buggy. |
11 | In order to ensure all golfers enjoy a positive experience at our courses we request all players to play a round in 4 hours and 30 minutes, or less. In order to achieve this, we ask all players to kindly remain no more than 1/2 hole behind the players in front at all the times. We will do all we can to keep play moving on the course and would be grateful for your help in keeping pace throughout your round. |
12 | Pitch marks must be repaired, divots replaced and bunkers raked. |
13 | Children under 12 are not allowed unless accompanied by an adult. |
14 | Animals are not allowed on the golf course. |
15 | Practicing anywhere on the golf course at any time is prohibited. |
16 | Any player not respecting the above regulations or acting in a dangerous or disruptive manner may be refused access to the course, practice area or putting green without any right to reimbursement. |
