As of 10th January 2022, the Portuguese Government updated the COVID-19 preventative measures, following the State of Calamity introduced in December due to the new positive cases increase.
What does it mean?
All passengers arriving to Portugal (including those fully vaccinated with a valid EU COVID Digital Certificate) must provide a negative COVID-19 test result duly certified.
Masks are obligatory in all enclosed spaces (including means of transport).
EU COVID Digital Certificate in any modality, proof of full vaccination or negative antigen test done on site under supervision, Pharmacy or PCR, needs to be presented at all tourist establishments, local accommodation, restaurants, gyms and at some events (check with the organizer for details).
From 14th January a negative test is mandatory for access to bars, discos, huge events and health facilities, for all of those who don't have a reinforcement dose of vaccine for at least 14 days
