Highlighted in the exhibition will be the sculptures of Georg Scheele. Born in 1961 in Hofheim, Germany, the sculptor studied in Carrara/Pietrasanta in Italy and moved to Portugal in 1990 when he bought a farm in the country.
Georg Scheele has been exhibition since 1986, with exhibitions in Germany, Portugal, England and Sweden and works in both marble and bronze to create his exciting sculptures which feature bold sweeping lines and a feeling of motion.
When describing his work Georg Scheele said: “Following my inner images, my shapes try to convey the borderline between interior and exterior, body and soul. They show intuitively formed atomic structures which I have not expressly searched for.”
Visit the Vale do Lobo Art Gallery Monday to Friday from 09:00h until 18:00h and enjoy free admission to view the works on display.
