Travel Safety | COVID-19 Tests

If you’re coming to Vale do Lobo and will require a Covid-19 test before travelling home, here are some tips and helpful information. This should be used as a guide only and anyone travelling should also be aware of the applicable regulations for the country they are leaving, arriving in, or transiting through.

All passengers must show a negative RT-PCR test result for COVID-19 at the time of boarding. All passengers flying internationally will be required to take a COVID-19 RT-PCR test and/or (rapid) antigen test before the flight, including passengers in transit, as per the applicable regulations in their destination country.

The test result, which can be shown on a phone, tablet, or printed document, must be presented at check-in, boarding, and arrival. Texts will not be accepted.

For your convenience, Vale do Lobo has two options available- the Vale do Lobo Medical Centre and Pharma VDL Health & Care, by appointment only. Soon a Drive Thru testing centre will be available on the Avenue Almirante Mendes, which will offer the possibility of testing without leaving your car, provided by Loulé Hospital.
