Recently elected as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal, Ria Formosa Natural Park is a protected wildlife area not to be missed during your time in Vale do Lobo.

The breathtaking natural phenomenon, running for 60km from Quinta do Lago / Faro to the borders with Spain, is a labyrinth of canals, islands, swamps and sandbanks.

The diverse landscapes provide a natural haven, abundant with flora and fauna, including many migratory bird species.
