Salt, Water and Nature
The Royal Spa is inspired by the salt mines of Loulé in the Algarve, renowned for their health benefits, due to the properties of the rock salt and the environment of absolute calm.
The word spa is an acronym of the Latin "sanus per aquum", or "healing through water", based on the principle that water is the very origin of life and possesses healing powers.
From the moment you enter the Royal Spa, water caresses the senses, evident to the eyes and ears in crystal glass walls and cascades and to the body in the various hydrotherapies available, which include a Vichy shower, salt baths, and hydro-massage and steam therapies.
Nature provides the third part of the Royal Spa theme, reflected in its organic design.
Using natural elements, the Royal Spa reflects pure nature, providing a comforting haven from the stresses of daily life.
Products based on oxygen and organic plant extracts, sea algae and natural essential oils help clients to unwind.

- Failure to attend or cancelations made less than five hours before an appointment will be subject to the full payment of the treatments or services previously booked, in accordance with our cancelation policy.

Vale do Lobo cardholder discounts apply to most treatments and memberships.
- The Wellness Centre may only be used by over 16s. Under 16s may only use the Fitness Centre accompanied by a personal trainer.

Memberships are not transferable or refundable, but may be upgraded to a different type of membership on request.
- Wellness Centre day passes or membership cards must be shown to gain access to the facilities. Lost or stolen cards must be notified to the Wellness Centre reception immediately.
