Golf is at the heart of the lifestyle and identity of Vale do Lobo, with tradition and community coming together on the resort’s renowned fairways.
This month, we welcome the return of one of the most anticipated events in the Vale do Lobo golfing calendar: the Open Foursomes. This long-standing tradition returns for its 42nd edition this year, taking place from 24th-30th May. Bringing together participants of different generations and backgrounds, including returning players and new faces, the tournament delivers competitive spirit and camaraderie in abundance.
Taking place on Vale do Lobo’s iconic courses, the Open Foursomes unfolds in a relaxed, engaging atmosphere, with each round about enjoyment and connection, as well as performance.
During May, younger golfers also have their chance to shape the future of the game at the Junior Golf Academy, designed to inspire and develop young players. Taking place during half-term, from 25th-29th May, the academy provides a dedicated space for children and teenagers to grow their skills, confidence and love of the sport. The ten hours of training, spread across five days, combines technical learning with a supportive and engaging environment, inspiring the next generation of golfers, many of whom may one day take part in the Open Foursomes.
Together, these two events highlight the community spirit of golf at Vale do Lobo, bringing together the generations to enjoy a sport both rooted in tradition and continuously evolving.
